Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Betty Parsons Gallery Announcement) (O. & T. 1090) by Jackson Pollock was auctioned at Phillips in London in September last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,154.80) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jackson Pollock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Number 17, 1951 in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 61,161,000.00 (€ 54,187,117.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Betty Parsons Gallery Announcement) (O. & T. 1090) von Jackson Pollock kam im September letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.154,80) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jackson Pollock erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Number 17, 1951 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 61.161.000,00 (€ 54.187.117,92).
