Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poured Black Shape I by Jackson Pollock was sold in the Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection Part II auction at Christies in New York in November last year. The price achieved of USD 1,860,000.00 (€ 1,801,801.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jackson Pollock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Number 17, 1951 in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 61,161,000.00 (€ 54,187,117.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Poured Black Shape I von Jackson Pollock wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection Part II bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.860.000,00 (€ 1.801.801,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jackson Pollock erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Number 17, 1951 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 61.161.000,00 (€ 54.187.117,92).
