In September 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Untitled, From The Series 'Blue Phase' by Jac Leirner. The »bidding war« ended at USD 77,500.00 (€ 66,683.88), 72% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jac Leirner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nomes (Names), which sold at auction in November 2014 for USD 221,000.00 (€ 177,681.30).

Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, From The Series 'Blue Phase' von Jac Leirner zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 77.500,00 (€ 66.683,88) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jac Leirner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nomes (Names) beobachtet, die im November 2014 für USD 221.000,00 (€ 177.681,30) versteigert wurde.
