A top price for Jac Leirner - as previously expected
The work Nomes (Names) by Jac Leirner was sold in the Latin America auction at Phillips in New York in November 2014. The price achieved of USD 221,000.00 (€ 177,681.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Nomes (Names) is the most expensive artwork by Jac Leirner that we have observed at auctions so far.
