The work Pylon by Isamu Noguchi was auctioned at Christies in New York in December 2020. It achieved a price of USD 87,500.00 (€ 71,545.38), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isamu Noguchi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Garden Elements in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 4,727,500.00 (€ 4,207,458.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pylon von Isamu Noguchi kam im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 71.545,38) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isamu Noguchi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Garden Elements im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.727.500,00 (€ 4.207.458,17).
