Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Model for Twin Sculpture for Bayerische Vereins Bank, Munich by Isamu Noguchi was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session auction at Phillips in New York in November last year. The price achieved of USD 75,600.00 (€ 73,234.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isamu Noguchi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Garden Elements in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 4,727,500.00 (€ 4,207,458.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Model for Twin Sculpture for Bayerische Vereins Bank, Munich von Isamu Noguchi wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 73.234,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isamu Noguchi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Garden Elements im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.727.500,00 (€ 4.207.458,17).
