Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Isamu Noguchi was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 214,200.00 (€ 207,497.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isamu Noguchi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Garden Elements in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 4,727,500.00 (€ 4,207,458.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Isamu Noguchi wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 214.200,00 (€ 207.497,82) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isamu Noguchi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Garden Elements im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.727.500,00 (€ 4.207.458,17).
