Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Isamu Noguchi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November last year. In the 20th Century Evening Sale auction, the work Two Dependent Pieces sold for USD 1,860,000.00 (€ 1,801,801.80) - well above the upper estimate of USD 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Isamu Noguchi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Garden Elements, which sold at auction in May 2017 for USD 4,727,500.00 (€ 4,207,458.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Isamu Noguchi erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Two Dependent Pieces für USD 1.860.000,00 (€ 1.801.801,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 800.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Isamu Noguchi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Garden Elements beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für USD 4.727.500,00 (€ 4.207.458,17) versteigert wurde.
