Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Profile of a Man by Igael Tumarkin was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year. The price achieved of USD 630.00 (€ 567.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Igael Tumarkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition in April 2001 with an auction result of USD 8,225.00 (€ 9,268.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Profile of a Man von Igael Tumarkin kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 630,00 (€ 567,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Igael Tumarkin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.225,00 (€ 9.268,65).
