Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern Discoveries, which included the work Komarow's Cry by Igael Tumarkin. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,528.00 (€ 3,180.38), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Igael Tumarkin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition, which sold at auction in April 2001 for USD 8,225.00 (€ 9,268.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern Discoveries durch, in der auch die Arbeit Komarow's Cry von Igael Tumarkin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.528,00 (€ 3.180,38) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Igael Tumarkin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition beobachtet, die im April 2001 für USD 8.225,00 (€ 9.268,65) versteigert wurde.
