Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Ramboid Composition With Red Strips by Igael Tumarkin for USD 3,438.00 (€ 2,841.09). This price was achieved in the auction Israeli & International Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Igael Tumarkin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition, which sold at auction in April 2001 for USD 8,225.00 (€ 9,268.65).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ramboid Composition With Red Strips von Igael Tumarkin für USD 3.438,00 (€ 2.841,09) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Igael Tumarkin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition beobachtet, die im April 2001 für USD 8.225,00 (€ 9.268,65) versteigert wurde.
