Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Astro-Knite by Igael Tumarkin was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,142.00 (€ 1,930.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Igael Tumarkin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition in April 2001 with an auction result of USD 8,225.00 (€ 9,268.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Astro-Knite von Igael Tumarkin kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.142,00 (€ 1.930,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Igael Tumarkin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composition im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.225,00 (€ 9.268,65).
