This artwork by Igael Tumarkin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in June 2014. In the Interiors auction, the work without title sold for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,108.84) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Igael Tumarkin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition, which sold at auction in April 2001 for USD 8,225.00 (€ 9,268.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Igael Tumarkin erzielte im Juni 2014 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Interiors wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.108,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Igael Tumarkin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition beobachtet, die im April 2001 für USD 8.225,00 (€ 9.268,65) versteigert wurde.
