In September 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Part I and Part II, which included the work Tangential # 1 by Ida Kohlmeyer. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,549.27) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ida Kohlmeyer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape No. 1, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 27,720.00 (€ 24,988.73).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Part I and Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tangential # 1 von Ida Kohlmeyer zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.549,27) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ida Kohlmeyer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape No. 1 beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 27.720,00 (€ 24.988,73) versteigert wurde.
