The work BA by Ibrahim Mahama was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in March this year. It achieved a price of USD 33,020.00 (€ 30,371.60), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 65%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ibrahim Mahama - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ghanaianchale Wote, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 85,391.64).

Die Arbeit BA von Ibrahim Mahama wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 33.020,00 (€ 30.371,60) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 65%. Für andere Arbeiten von Ibrahim Mahama mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ghanaianchale Wote beobachtet, die im März 2018 für GBP 75.000,00 (€ 85.391,64) versteigert wurde.
