Auction result well in line with expectations
The work AJ-10100 (2013/4) by Ibrahim Mahama was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 17,920.00 (€ 20,577.14) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ibrahim Mahama have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ghanaianchale Wote in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 85,391.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit AJ-10100 (2013/4) von Ibrahim Mahama kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 17.920,00 (€ 20.577,14) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ibrahim Mahama auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ghanaianchale Wote im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 85.391,64).
