Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kawokudi installation, 2013 dimensions variable. by Ibrahim Mahama was auctioned at Bonhams in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 22,750.00 (€ 26,972.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ibrahim Mahama - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ghanaianchale Wote, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 85,391.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kawokudi installation, 2013 dimensions variable. von Ibrahim Mahama kam im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.750,00 (€ 26.972,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ibrahim Mahama mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ghanaianchale Wote beobachtet, die im März 2018 für GBP 75.000,00 (€ 85.391,64) versteigert wurde.
