Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Etched Lines: Multicoloured on Black by Ian Davenport was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in September last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,154.80) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ian Davenport achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poured Lines: Dark Cobalt Study in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 95,447.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Etched Lines: Multicoloured on Black von Ian Davenport wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.154,80) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ian Davenport erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poured Lines: Dark Cobalt Study im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 95.447,82).
