In September 2009 Phillips in London held the auction NOW: Art of the 21st Century, which included the work Cyber Murder 1 by Hong Donglu. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,102.19), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hong Donglu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tai Chi / Buddha'S Warrior Attendant in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 511,500.00 (€ 42,154.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im September 2009 führte Phillips in London die Auktion NOW: Art of the 21st Century durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cyber Murder 1 von Hong Donglu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.102,19) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hong Donglu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tai Chi / Buddha'S Warrior Attendant im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 511.500,00 (€ 42.154,07).
