The work Heaven and Human II by Hong Donglu was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. The auction ended at the price of HKD 180,000.00 (€ 17,139.67), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hong Donglu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tai Chi / Buddha'S Warrior Attendant, which sold at auction in April 2008 for HKD 511,500.00 (€ 42,154.07).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Heaven and Human II von Hong Donglu kam im Mai 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 180.000,00 (€ 17.139,67) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hong Donglu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tai Chi / Buddha'S Warrior Attendant beobachtet, die im April 2008 für HKD 511.500,00 (€ 42.154,07) versteigert wurde.
