The work Chun Li by Hong Donglu was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Art II auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2007. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 288,000.00 (€ 26,965.74), 60% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hong Donglu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Tai Chi / Buddha'S Warrior Attendant sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of HKD 511,500.00 (€ 42,154.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Chun Li von Hong Donglu wurde im April 2007 in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Art II bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 288.000,00 (€ 26.965,74) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hong Donglu; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Tai Chi / Buddha'S Warrior Attendant im April 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 511.500,00 (€ 42.154,07).
