Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a woman wearing a black veil by Hugó Scheiber was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale Including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso auction at Sothebys in London in March 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,722.46) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 14,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hugó Scheiber - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Ball, which sold at auction in April 2006 for GBP 48,000.00 (€ 69,277.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a woman wearing a black veil von Hugó Scheiber wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale Including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 17.640,00 (€ 20.722,46) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 14.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hugó Scheiber mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Ball beobachtet, die im April 2006 für GBP 48.000,00 (€ 69.277,57) versteigert wurde.
