Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Can Can Dancers by Hugó Scheiber. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,277.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Hugó Scheiber have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Ball in April 2006 with an auction result of GBP 48,000.00 (€ 69,277.57).
