In May 2010 Christies in London held the auction Japanese Art and Design, which included the work Tree (gold) by Hoshi Joichi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,903.91), 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Hoshi Joichi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shuko (Autumn light) in September 2000 with an auction result of USD 8,225.00 (€ 9,307.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Japanese Art and Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tree (gold) von Hoshi Joichi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.903,91) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hoshi Joichi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shuko (Autumn light) im September 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.225,00 (€ 9.307,46).
