This artwork by Hoshi Joichi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in September this year. In the Fine Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Three Prints sold for USD 2,176.00 (€ 2,055.93) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Hoshi Joichi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shuko (Autumn light) in September 2000 with an auction result of USD 8,225.00 (€ 9,307.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 81 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hoshi Joichi erzielte im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Japanese and Korean Art wurde die Arbeit Three Prints für USD 2.176,00 (€ 2.055,93) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hoshi Joichi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shuko (Autumn light) im September 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.225,00 (€ 9.307,46).
