It achieved a price of GBP 1,536.00 (€ 1,787.15), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. Admittedly, works by Hoshi Joichi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shuko (Autumn light) in September 2000 with an auction result of USD 8,225.00 (€ 9,307.46).

Die Arbeit Ki (kuro) (A tree black) von Hoshi Joichi kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.536,00 (€ 1.787,15) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hoshi Joichi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shuko (Autumn light) im September 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.225,00 (€ 9.307,46).
