Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Moon and tree, signed in pencil in Japanese, Moon and Tree and in English, Joichi Hoshi '76, framed and glazed by Hoshi Joichi was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,023.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Hoshi Joichi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shuko (Autumn light) in September 2000 with an auction result of USD 8,225.00 (€ 9,307.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Moon and tree, signed in pencil in Japanese, Moon and Tree and in English, Joichi Hoshi '76, framed and glazed von Hoshi Joichi kam im Mai 2013 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.023,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hoshi Joichi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shuko (Autumn light) im September 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.225,00 (€ 9.307,46).
