This artwork by Hoshi Joichi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2013. In the The Japanese Aesthetic auction, the work Yu Evening, 1974 sold for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,954.62) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 900.00. Admittedly, works by Hoshi Joichi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shuko (Autumn light) in September 2000 with an auction result of USD 8,225.00 (€ 9,307.46).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Hoshi Joichi erzielte im Dezember 2013 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Japanese Aesthetic wurde die Arbeit Yu Evening, 1974 für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.954,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 900,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hoshi Joichi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shuko (Autumn light) im September 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.225,00 (€ 9.307,46).
