A top price for Hoshi Joichi
This artwork by Hoshi Joichi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2000. In the JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART auction, the work Shuko (Autumn light) sold for USD 8,225.00 (€ 9,307.46) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00. This high result makes Shuko (Autumn light) the most expensive artwork by Hoshi Joichi that we have observed at auctions so far.
