This work of art by Hilo Chen could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work I. Bathroom 29 - Amaryllis - 3 Ii. Blossom - 19 - S - 1 Iii. Blossom 19 - S - 4 Iv. Blossom 20 - S V. Untitled Vi. Untitled Vii. Untitled Viii. Bath Room - 5 changed hands for USD 11,875.00 (€ 8,905.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hilo Chen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beach 96 in October 2020 with an auction result of EUR 107,100.00.
