Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 21st Century Art Day Sale, which included the work Beach - 57 by Hilo Chen. The price achieved of HKD 352,800.00 (€ 42,286.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hilo Chen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beach 96, which sold at auction in October 2020 for EUR 107,100.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Beach - 57 von Hilo Chen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 352.800,00 (€ 42.286,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hilo Chen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Beach 96 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für EUR 107.100,00 versteigert wurde.
