Auction result misses estimated price range

In the Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures auction, the work The Harbour of Rotterdam by night changed hands for EUR 2,500.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Herman Bieling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Heads, which sold at auction in November 2003 for EUR 8,962.50.
