In February 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Topographical Observations: Picture your world, which included the work Place de Locronan, Bretagne by Herman Bieling. The result of EUR 1,500.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Herman Bieling have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two Heads in November 2003 with an auction result of EUR 8,962.50.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Topographical Observations: Picture your world durch, in der auch die Arbeit Place de Locronan, Bretagne von Herman Bieling zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.500,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Herman Bieling auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two Heads im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.962,50.
