Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spanish landscape by Herman Bieling was sold in the Pictures Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2007. The price achieved of EUR 4,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Herman Bieling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Heads, which sold at auction in November 2003 for EUR 8,962.50.

Die Arbeit Spanish landscape von Herman Bieling wurde im September 2007 in der Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Herman Bieling mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Two Heads beobachtet, die im November 2003 für EUR 8.962,50 versteigert wurde.
