Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sunset At The Seafront by Herman Bieling was sold in the Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries' auction at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Herman Bieling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Heads, which sold at auction in November 2003 for EUR 8,962.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sunset At The Seafront von Herman Bieling wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries' bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Herman Bieling mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Two Heads beobachtet, die im November 2003 für EUR 8.962,50 versteigert wurde.
