This artwork by Herman Bieling achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2005. In the Pictures Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Maas Bij Nacht sold for EUR 3,120.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Herman Bieling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Heads, which sold at auction in November 2003 for EUR 8,962.50.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Herman Bieling erzielte im Juni 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings wurde die Arbeit Maas Bij Nacht für EUR 3.120,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.600,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Herman Bieling mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Two Heads beobachtet, die im November 2003 für EUR 8.962,50 versteigert wurde.
