Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert George Ponting achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British Antarctic Expedition, 1910-13: Ponting's three master albums of contact prints in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 195,755.59).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.374,51) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herbert George Ponting erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British Antarctic Expedition, 1910-13: Ponting's three master albums of contact prints im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 169.250,00 (€ 195.755,59).
