Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Henry Darger was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 504,000.00 (€ 413,318.03). Other works by Henry Darger have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 601,500.00 in December 2014 for the work Sans Titre.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Henry Darger wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 504.000,00 (€ 413.318,03) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Henry Darger haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von EUR 601.500,00 im Dezember 2014 für die Arbeit Sans Titre beobachtet.
