In May 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work A still life with a carafe and glasses by Henri Le Fauconnier. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 8,125.00 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Henri Le Fauconnier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Village au bord d'un lac in November 2020 with an auction result of USD 47,812.50 (€ 40,017.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A still life with a carafe and glasses von Henri Le Fauconnier zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 8.125,00 und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri Le Fauconnier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Village au bord d'un lac im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.812,50 (€ 40.017,16).
