Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still Life With Yellow Tulips by Henri Le Fauconnier was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in September 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 2,750.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Le Fauconnier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Village au bord d'un lac in November 2020 with an auction result of USD 47,812.50 (€ 40,017.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Still Life With Yellow Tulips von Henri Le Fauconnier im September 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 2.750,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Le Fauconnier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Village au bord d'un lac im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.812,50 (€ 40.017,16).
