Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (The Barbara Series) by Hellen van Meene for USD 3,438.00 (€ 2,722.52). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated featuring works from the Collection of Joni Gordon of Newspace Gallery at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hellen van Meene - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected Images, which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,453.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (The Barbara Series) von Hellen van Meene für USD 3.438,00 (€ 2.722,52) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated featuring works from the Collection of Joni Gordon of Newspace Gallery bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hellen van Meene mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected Images beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.453,60) versteigert wurde.
