Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Helene Schmitz could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in October 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Autumn Modern sale auction, the work "Kairo, 1984" changed hands for SEK 4,500.00 (€ 432.46) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Helene Schmitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "The Doorway", 1994 in April 2018 with an auction result of SEK 140,000.00 (€ 13,230.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Helene Schmitz konnte im Oktober 2009 bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Autumn Modern sale wechselte die Arbeit "Kairo, 1984" für SEK 4.500,00 (€ 432,46) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Helene Schmitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "The Doorway", 1994 im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 140.000,00 (€ 13.230,08).
