Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Helene Schmitz could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in April 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art & Design auction, the work "The Chair", 1996 changed hands for SEK 55,000.00 (€ 5,408.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Helene Schmitz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "The Doorway", 1994, which sold at auction in April 2018 for SEK 140,000.00 (€ 13,230.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Helene Schmitz konnte im April 2021 bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design wechselte die Arbeit "The Chair", 1996 für SEK 55.000,00 (€ 5.408,56) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Helene Schmitz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "The Doorway", 1994 beobachtet, die im April 2018 für SEK 140.000,00 (€ 13.230,08) versteigert wurde.
