Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Entrada Negra by Helena Almeida was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2007. The price achieved of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,368.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Helena Almeida - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ponto de Fuga (Vanishing Point), which sold at auction in November 2017 for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 85,136.16).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.368,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Helena Almeida mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ponto de Fuga (Vanishing Point) beobachtet, die im November 2017 für GBP 75.000,00 (€ 85.136,16) versteigert wurde.
