Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Helena Almeida achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2017. In the Postwar and Contemporary Photographs auction, the work 'Inhabited Drawing' sold for USD 37,500.00 (€ 31,744.69) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Helena Almeida - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ponto de Fuga (Vanishing Point), which sold at auction in November 2017 for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 85,136.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Helena Almeida erzielte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Postwar and Contemporary Photographs wurde die Arbeit 'Inhabited Drawing' für USD 37.500,00 (€ 31.744,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Helena Almeida mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ponto de Fuga (Vanishing Point) beobachtet, die im November 2017 für GBP 75.000,00 (€ 85.136,16) versteigert wurde.
