Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Helen Chadwick could be acquired at Phillips in New York in April 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Adore >< Abhor, from Other Men's Flowers portfolio changed hands for USD 500.00 (€ 446.39) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Helen Chadwick achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Piss Flowers in September 2013 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,883.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Helen Chadwick konnte im April 2019 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wechselte die Arbeit Adore >< Abhor, from Other Men's Flowers portfolio für USD 500,00 (€ 446,39) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Helen Chadwick erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Piss Flowers im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.883,64).
