Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2015 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Meat Abstract No. 6: Cutlery by Helen Chadwick. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,756.04). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Helen Chadwick - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Piss Flowers, which sold at auction in September 2013 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,883.64).
