Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Studies for Miss Tiggy-winkle by Beatrix Potter was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours and Oriental auction at Christies in London in December 2005. The price achieved of GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,096.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Beatrix Potter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gentleman Rabbit With Letter ("Benjamin Bunny") in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 70,850.00 (€ 87,377.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Studies for Miss Tiggy-winkle von Beatrix Potter wurde im Dezember 2005 in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Oriental bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.096,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Beatrix Potter erzielen.
