Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Study of field mice by Beatrix Potter was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2007. It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,703.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Beatrix Potter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gentleman Rabbit With Letter ("Benjamin Bunny") in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 70,850.00 (€ 87,377.73).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Study of field mice von Beatrix Potter kam im Juli 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.703,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Beatrix Potter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gentleman Rabbit With Letter ("Benjamin Bunny") im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 70.850,00 (€ 87.377,73).
