It achieved a price of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,931.05), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Beatrix Potter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gentleman Rabbit With Letter ("Benjamin Bunny") in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 70,850.00 (€ 87,377.73).

Die Arbeit Bedstraw and hazlenuts (illustrated) von Beatrix Potter wurde im September 2005 in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.931,05) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Beatrix Potter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gentleman Rabbit With Letter ("Benjamin Bunny") im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 70.850,00 (€ 87.377,73).
